I would like to see a full repeal of the blanket rezoning bylaw; reset the zoning designa- tions to what they were prior to the blanket rezoning bylaw; and then re-engage with Calgarians on what planning should look like through local area plans and transit ori- ented planning in our respective communities and across our city. Housing is needed but, it should be done strategically, aligned with infrastructure like transit and shaped through local engagement, not imposed generally across every ne

I SUPPORT the Calgary city of council to bring back the low density residential zones BACK to what existed in the land use bylaw prior to the citywide Rezoning for housing that was approved by Council in May 2024 that came into effect on August 6 2024.I support the City of Calgary in the process to reverse Rezoning for housing.

I support the repeal of blanket rezoning and the reinstatement of the wording of the land use bylaw prior to August 6, 2024. My support is in conjunction with the Varsity Community Association. An extensive Restrictive Covenant campaign was launched to help combat blanket rezoning to preserve the character of Varsity. We have placed a RC on our property. I do not agree with the proposed amendments to change the rules for rowhouse devel-opment. This should be done at a separate public hearing a

Public Hearing – Blanket Rezoning Review Submitted by: A Resident of St. Andrews Heights, on behalf of concerned community members I am a resident of St. Andrews Heights, writing on behalf of myself and a number of concerned neighbours in support of the full repeal of blanket rezoning and the resto- ration of RC1 and RC2 zoning designations. I live in St. Andrews Heights because I valued the RC1 character this neighbourhood offered. Blanket rezoning has eliminated that choice for all Calgarians

I do not think older areas should have blanket zoning, I don't think single family homes should be torn down and a multi unit be put in. Too many green bins, no parking, water issue's, changes the dynamics' of the neighborhood, the developers buy up all the older homes, so the young can not and the new developments are not affordable for the young people. I do not think blanket zoning helps with the housing issue. Just cre-ates more problems. Including our schools cannot support the influx of

I am in favour of a full and complete repeal of the blanket rezoning bylaw and returning the zoning designations and related rules and policies to what they were prior to the public hearing in April / May 2024 regarding blanket rezoning. I think all applications for new builds should be HALTED until this issue is resolved. Otherwise developers will make 10,000 applications and get "grandfathered" which would effectively negate repealling the bylaw.

I would like to clarify my previous submission regarding the rezoning repeal question. When completing the form, I believed the question was asking whether I opposed the blanket rezoning policy itself. My intention was to SUPPORT THE REPEAL of the cur-rent zoning and express great concern about the impacts of large multi-unit develop-ments within established residential communities such as Pineridge. My detailed letter addressing these concerns can be found under “Public_Submis-sion_Rezoning_P

Dear Mayor and Council. I am in favour of repealing blanket rezoning and changing back to the previous zoning immediately. Please respect the vast majority of Calgarians (over 65%) who voted to repeal. Blanket Rezoning was illegitimately approved. Make sure Administration actually fol-lows the City’s policies, namely the Transparency and Accountability, Engage and Engage Framework policies. For any future zoning proposals make sure we are properly ENGAGED. And make sure you have an engag

I am in favor of the amendments to bring back the zoning in the City of Calgary as it existed prior to the Bylaw amendments to allow Blanket Rezoning in the City. I express my gratitude to the sponsoring Members of Counsel for their action in this regard.

I am writing to express strong opposition to blanket upzoning (BUZ) and to urge Coun-cil to fully repeal it. Repealing blanket upzoning does not repeal or dismantle Calgary’s housing strategy, and it is critical that this distinction be clearly understood. At the 2024 public hearing on blanket upzoning, approximately 65% of Calgarians who spoke in person opposed the policy, and 88% of written submissions were also in opposition. Despite this clear feedback, Council proceeded with approving the

Blanket rezoning does not create affordable or accessible housing. There may be more effective, targeted ways to address housing challenges. These issues need to be addressed outside of blanket rezoning. While R-CG zoning may increase housing variety, it does not create more choice, because it lacks planning and any kind of predictability. City planning should involve thoughtful PLANNING—with consideration for infrastruc- ture, traffic, and the community. Don’t allow developers and builders to d
